Each model page lists the lights from the official owner's manual for that car, in the manual's own words, grouped by generation. We name the manual each section comes from. The symbols are drawn by us, because the makers' artwork belongs to them, so they look a little different from your dashboard while keeping the same shape.

Our advice is general. When the manual and this site disagree, follow the manual, and when a red light comes on, stop somewhere safe first and read second.
